Good Morning Inverness

Waking up in the Avalon

zzzz

Phew, what a great nights sleep. Phil says it's this Scotrish air really helps you sleep. I think it was the empty Fridge that helped him and Marge sleep !

After a nice shower I was refreshed and ready for breakfast, This is Jo, she was very nice and asked "Branston the cat" if it was OK for me to eat with Marge and Phil.
Usually no animals are allowed in the Avalon but Jo said I was special.

Talking of special things, this food list was definately "special", of course I could not read it but Phil was very impressed.
I decided to have a bit of everything on offer so did Marge, Phil had a "Lot" of everything on offer!

I started with a bowl of fresh Fruit with plenty of Juniper Berries. Mmmmmmm !

Washed down with a nice cup of Coffee with plenty of Brown Sugar!

The toast was lovely with some "Organic Ewe Cobb Jam" that Jo had got in specially for me!

My goodness, how am I going to eat all this? I think I might need some help from Phil.

Phew, I made it, In the end Phil was not too happy to help me.
I don't know why though, my "Bab's Full Scotrish" was really special!
My "Sheep Roughmix Sausages" were classic.
The "Black Sheep Pudding" was lovely.
The "Baked Tup and Lamb Nuts in Tomato sauce" were very nice.
The "Meadow Mushrooms and Fried Tomato" were good.
The "Fried Egg Plant" was excellent
Even the "Bacon" was made out of Vegitable stuff so was called Vegicon

"Branston, Jo and Bradkey" had really gone out of their way to make us all feel welcome, even getting some Bab's ornyments in to make me feel at home.
We will have to come back to the Avalon Guest House soon. xxx

"Branston the Cat emailed me this picture of himself today (29 Octobrish), You can just see a small tear in his eye at watching me go. Don't worry mate I will see you again soon xx

On our way again we got to a place called Forres where Phil once lived with "Granny Jean" and "Grumpydad Jimmy". Phil said he used to come down here on his Pushingbike and climbed trees and things. It did have some very good climbing trees too.
Marge told me off when I climbed this one though, she said it was too near the river and I could have fell in, Actually I think she was right this time!

These Trees had fallen over and made an archway which was perfect for me to climb on. Marge said she was happy with me climbing here.

Phil says this bridge used to have a big rope on it and he used to swing into the water, its a shame the rope was not there any more Marge says it probably rotted away with age. There was some old men trying to catch Fishys, they had special wellies which went right up to their "Private parts" so they could walk right into the river. Marge says she could make me a pair of long wellies but I could not go in as deep as the old men though.

This man showed me what he was doing, he was "Flea Fishing" and trying to catch Salmonds. Phil made me a Rod and I had a go. It was a bit tricky to get the rope into the water and I caught Marge's coat on my first go, She says she will have to sew it up when we get home.

On the second attempt I got my rope into the water, but I had no luck. I don't really think there are any Salmonds in this river and the Old men are just pretending to fish because they like walking in the deep water!

On the way out of the Forrest into Forres! He he.
I found this food growing on a tree, Phil said not to touch it as it might have worms in it, Marge says it was probably Poysiness anyway.

This is in Forres where Phil used to live, Phil says this is a model of a Nimrod which is an airyplane and if you look carefully you can just see a real one flying over the top.

I helped the local gardeners out by doing a bit of weeding, Delicious!

Marge said we should pick lots of these so Phil could take them to a Prison near home where a man called "Mouse" makes stuff with old Apples.
Phil said a rude word and I think he meant "No".

We are still in the place called Forres, this bit is where Phil used to go to "Air Cadets", they let him fly in Airyplanes and work in kitchens and even shot bullets from guns. Sounds like fun but I bet they won't allow Sheep either!

This park in Forres was really good, it had animals made out of flowers and plants, Phil said I better not touch them else I was in trouble!
This one is supposed to be a Beaver or could it be a Mole?

The White plant looked very tasty and Phil was keeping a close eye on me just in case.
He did not need to worry as I was still full after my Avalon breakfast.

The park had some "Cornifer Trees" which were Particularly good for climbing, Phil said it was OK.

Ha ha Marge let me use my Felt Pen to change this bin a bit, I think it is a lot better now, don't you?

Whilst Phil was wiping off the pen marks I broke free and had a quick nosh, Marge thought I was eating the Bears Brains! Silly lady its really only a bit of a bush!

I suppose we could not expect anything else but Marge thought this Hedge was a Duck ha ha ha.
Phil was just as mad because he said it was a Snail!
